In Memorium...

It is with great sadness that the family of Stacey Lynn Childs announces her passing after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.

Stacey was born September 21, 1970 in Tucson Arizona, and attended Saguaro High School and Pima Community College. In 1994, Stacey relocated to Phoenix to start a family. A loving caretaker and mother of three wonderful children, Stacey dedicated a great part of her life to providing day care services for working moms. A wonderfully supportive spouse, she was instrumental in the growth and development of the family's business venture.

As an avid reader, her favorite pasttime was curling up with a good romance novel. Her love of music and singing meant the home was often filled with the sweet sounds of her singing while she worked, and her spirit of praise and worship touched many of the members of Vineyard Christian Fellowship of North Phoenix, where she was a member.

Stacey was an avid football fan, and served on the Board of Directors for North Association Pop Warner Youth Football for several years. She could be found on the sidelines on Saturday mornings, cheering for her sons on the gridiron and enjoying her daughter's cheerleading routines.

A non-judgemental friend to many young people, she could always be counted on to lend a sympathetic ear or a loving reprimand to those who felt comfortable sharing their troubles and dreams with her.

Stacey is survived by her three strong and beautiful children - Hunter, Darian and Saraya; her husband and best friend Greg; her mother Joann Roush; her brother James Crooks; her father Peter Crooks; stepfather David Sanders; step-siblings Cherie and Charles; stepmother Debra Crooks; countless trusted friends; and her beloved canine companions - Jake, Reagan and Princess.

A celebration of Stacey's life will be held at Vineyard Christian Fellowship of North Phoenix, 6250 W. Peoria Ave. at 9:00 a.m on Saturday, September 22.

An additional service will be held at Southlawn Cemetary, 5401 S Park Ave, Tucson on Saturday, September 29 (time to be announced soon).

The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Desert Labrador Retriever Rescue at www.dlrrphoenix.org; or to the college fund established for Hunter, Darian and Saraya (account number 344310008 at any Arizona State Credit Union location).
